The 5 Minute Smokey Eyes by Beau Nelson
What you will need:
Smudge Brush
Blender Brush
Flat Shadow Brush
Eyeliner
Mascara
Use a light, medium and dark color, all in the same family.
Use a black pencil liner along the top lash line. Smudge and blend with a brush. Press black eye shadow into the diffused pencil line.
With a flat shadow brush use a medium tone grey and press into the eyelid, almost into the crease.
Take lightest shade – a lighter and blend with a blender brush into the crease of eyes. Beau Nelson calls the blender brush “idiot proof.” Place the grey shadow into the crease with the eyes slightly open to get the perfect graduation of color. Use a back and forth motion from left to right until the shadow is blended the way you like it.
With a smudge brush apply a mixture of light and medium grey to the bottom lashes. Apply from the outer eyes towards inner eyelashes.
Curling the eye lashes is an important part of the smoky eye look to open up the eyes.
Optional: Add eyeliner to bottom of water-line of eyes and inner corners of eyes for a dramatic look.
Apply Mascara.
- * TIP: Don’t be afraid of the smokey look. You can always start light and work your way up to a darker shade.
“Beautiful make-up may be one of life’s great gratifications however so much is in the application.” Beau Nelson
