What Are The Effects Of A Hair Color

An after-treatment and neutralizer:

_ Removes residues of hydrogen peroxide and alkalis
_ Hardens keratin
_ Closes the cuticle layer and gives the hair Shine
_ Stabilizes the color for longer durability
_ Protects from creeping oxidation
_ Breaks down peroxide and persulphate Residue
_ Neutralizes alkali residue
_ Helps reduce swelling and harden keratin
_ Stabilises the dyestuff
_ Closes the cuticle layer
_ Makes the hair easier to comb
_ Protects from creeping oxidation.

The after-treatment of oxidative coloration processes is absolutely necessary in order to:
_ Regenerate: improves the shines and makes the hair easier to comb
_ Astringe: stabilizes the pigments
_ Neutralize: removes residual peroxide, alkali and Persulphate

In general: an after-treatment is absolutely necessary for the majority of oxidative hair color treatments – also perms. Only with their help can residues of hydrogen peroxide, alkali or persulphate be removed. In addition, high-quality after-treatment products contain shine enhancer and active substances which make the hair easier to comb.

To summarize, the after-treatment has three main tasks:
R – regenerate
A – astringe
N – neutralize

What Are The Risks Of Hair Lightening

The damage caused to hair by sunlight is often underestimated. Particularly when the hair is wet, the high-energy UV rays from the sun are able to break down the melanin of the hair and subsequently the protein. The result is a creeping oxidation process. When the pigments are bleached in this manner, it causes more damage to the hair than a high-quality, gentle lightening agent of similar strength. In order to prevent unnecessary stress on the structure of the hair, it should be protected from the effects of damaging UV radiation.

Seawater with a high salt content, strongly chlorinated swimming pool water, climatic influences such as the sun and wind, heat from hairdryers and also very dry hair can lead to additional stress and thus a negative change in the structure of the hair
