Endermologie or Lipomassage is the latest technology today for removing cellulites. It is a contemporary approach to weight loss and to achieve a more beautiful, slimmer body.

When applied, the skin is folded so that the subcutaneous fat cells are squeezed and compressed. The vigorous action allows the collagen fibers in the connective tissue to be stressed so they can loosen their hold and the dimpling will reduce.

The repeated massaging action also allows the blood flow of the treated area to increase, such that accumulated fluid can drain out. All these action leads to the reduction of the appearance of cellulite and targeted fat loss in the right areas.

Advantages of Endermologie

Endermologie treatment is better than other cellulite reduction procedures because it is generally non-invasive. There is no risk for infection or scarring, and there are no recovery times or anaesthesia to worry about.

It is also generally affordable compared to liposuction, with one 30 to 40-minute session costing only about $60. It indeed works in improving cellulite (at least for a period of time), and with strict adherence to the monthly maintenance sessions, you can also experience improvements in skin tone and body contour.

Disadvantages of Endermologie

Although endermologie is generally less expensive than invasive procedures, it is still quite expensive relative to the results. The cellulite reduction in endermologie treatments is not that dramatic, with the results not always guaranteed. Spending $1,200 to $2,000 on temporary, unguaranteed results may be too impractical for many.

The Verdict

When it comes to cellulite reduction and weight loss, plastic surgeons and medical practitioners still stand by the fact that a low calorie diet, adequate exercise and sufficient supplementation are still unmatched methods that lead to permanent results. You can decide to go through endermologie treatments to hasten the cellulite and fat reduction process, but relying only on this non-invasive procedure might not lead you to the long-term results that you want.
