Salon and Spa owners often face the challenge of how to stay focused.

It is crucial for business success to focus your time on the few activities that will move your salon forward in the fastest and easiest way possible. It is important to have a marketing plan and to stick with it.

What do you love doing? Let’s say your passion is facials. Then you may offer an array of skin care products, which could be overwhelming and confusing for your clients. You may also have an array of facials from acne to rejuvenation to light therapy to peels etc.

By getting focused you can create a facial therapy concept. You may want to create your own step-by-step program. For example, you may incorporate:

Step one: Deep Cleansing

Step two: Acupressure massage

Step three: High-tech Ampoule

Step four: Galvanic Current

Step five: Seal and Protect

Explain your exclusive Five Step Approach. Why is it different? What is in it for the client?

Your advanced step-by-step facial is a concept which helps clients see your methods and techniques as precise and exclusive. It is essential to characterize your facials as complex systems which work.

Don’t just give each step a fancy name to sound clever. Clients need to understand what you do, how you do it and the results they can expect. For example Step three would be the application of a High-tech ampoule. You would go on to explain the benefit of the “youth vial”.
