• The people who work for you pay attention to what you say and do because they know that a leader focuses on what matter most. Everyone invests time and energy on high priority matters.

• Leaders are authentic and lead by visible example.

• Leadership is about fostering openness and continuous feedback. Leaders measure and keep tabs on staff performance.  

• Success is identified and celebrated. Support is given where needed.  

• Leaders are passionate and build strong commitment through involvement and ownership.

• Leaders lead with purpose and encourage team spirit.

• Leaders grow people through continuous development.

• Successful leaders are mindful of their thoughts and actions, even in the most difficult situations. Self-control is based on respect for themselves and others.

• Achieving your goals is part of your job as a leader. The other part is caring for your people.

 

It may be possible to achieve good short term results without caring for your people. But you can't achieve long term success for you or your salon without the willing cooperation of the best therapists you can find.
